An old idea that has beenpuppy party around for quite some time, has now been made profitable by some party planners.. Although, birthday parties are the normal, for the right price, you can now have a puppy party at just about any kind of event you can think of.

Details

Depending upon the company that you choose, the going rate for one hour of total puppy fun is in the neighborhood of $200 and up. There will usually be anywhere from 10 to 12 puppies attending the event.

Some event planners may set up a temporary pen, which would allow the children inside to play with the puppies. Some are outdoor only events.

The Pros

I can see how this would be a good pups playingopportunity to socialize the puppies. As the pup’s will be meeting new people and seeing new sights, hearing new sounds, and sniffing new scents… all of the time. This is actually a good way for the pup to be socialized.

Children can benefit from having so many puppies around as it will, or should, help the child overcome any fears he or she may have of dogs, as well as to teach them how to interact properly with a new dog.

The Cons

As we all know, our shelters and pounds are over flowing with unwanted dogs. Beside the fact that some of these pups may possibly wind up in a shelter or a pound, what happens to them psychologically?

Puppies need routine and structure in order to be properly house trained. Puppies need to be taught boundaries. Without boundaries, a pup will grow into a dog that will generally require more time to train.

Up until a pup reaches around 12 weeks of age, sleeping puppy they do require a lot of sleep. It is normal for new pup’s to sleep 15 to 20 hours a day. If these pups are spending a lot of time going to parties, they may wind up being overwhelmed and stressed, and require experienced pet owners to train them once they have been retired from the party scene.

The Party is Over

The big question that comes into my mind is; what happens when the pup has outgrown his role as a puppy and can no longer be a party animal?

In some cases when a person fallswhite puppy in love with one of the puppies, you are actually able to adopt that puppy right on the spot. For those who have missed out on being adopted at a party, they are usually put up for adoption as a dog opposed to a puppy.

Your Thoughts

This tends to be a relatively new trend and I would really like to hear your thoughts on the subject. What do you think the Pros and Cons are concerning puppy parties’? Have you considered having a puppy party?
